Double-check your estimate
Before choosing a package, take one more look around your home. These four factors can affect how many bins you actually need.
Count every space you plan to pack
Bedrooms are only part of the move. Include offices, garages, attics, basements, pantries, closets and other storage areas.
Consider how full those spaces are
Two homes with the same number of bedrooms can hold very different amounts. Books, collections, hobby supplies, children’s gear and full closets can increase the bin count.
Spread out heavy items
Each bin can hold up to 100 pounds, but it still needs to be carried safely. Divide books, records and other dense items among several bins rather than loading one to its maximum capacity.
Separate items that need something different
Furniture, televisions, mirrors, artwork and lamps do not belong in the bin count. Use the included moving bags for soft or bulky items and specialty packaging for fragile or unusually shaped belongings.
